Sanctioning Bodies

Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA)

The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association was founded over 20 years ago with the vision of keeping vintage race cars on race tracks where they belong, and can delight fans just as they did in their heyday.

That vision has become a huge success. Today, fans can watch many of the most significant race cars spanning five decades compete head-to-head on some of North America's greatest race tracks, including Sebring, Elkhart Lake, Mid-Ohio and Watkins Glen.

Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR)

In HSR, the spectators are treated to prior winners of great events such as the 12 Hours of Sebring, 24 Hours of Le Mans and 24 Hours of Daytona. Events are as educational as they are adrenaline-inducing, as fans are exposed to pieces of history at the track.

Vintage Auto Racing Association (VARA)

Founded in 1973, VARA is the largest vintage racing organization in the country. Race fields are made up of Sports Cars, Sport Racers, Formula Cars from the post WWII period through the sixties, with a few cars from the seventies and later. The primary objective of the sport of vintage and historic automobile racing is to promote the preservation of these cars in a racing format that emphasizes safety.

Vintage Formula Car Association

The Vintage Formula Car Association has the expressed purpose of promoting single seater cars within the vintage racing community.

Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada

VARAC, the Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada, was formed in 1976 to provide a central organizing body through which Vintage Race enthusiasts could communicate and organize race meetings for eligible Vintage and Historic racing and sports cars.

The Classic Touring Car Racing Club of Great Britain

The Classic Touring Car Racing Club runs, in conjunction with the British Automobile Racing Club, four separate Championships for Classic / Historic Touring Cars and Classic Thunder.

Western Racing Association

WRA cars are vintage racecars without roll cages and sporting narrow tires that raced in the 1930's, 40's and 50's.

Atlantic Coast Old Timers Auto Racing Club

The Atlantic Coast Old Timers Auto Racing Club is dedicated to the preservation of the history of oval track automobile racing in America and the exhibition of the race cars that were a part of that history.

Midstate Vintage Stock Car Club

It began with pioneers and barnstormers, who took cars, often times the family car, painted a number on the door and then drove it fast. They ran at county fairgrounds and at horse racing tracks throughout the United States.

It is with the memory of those early heroes that the Midstate Vintage Stock Car Club owes its existence.

The vintage racing event of the year. The event that all others are compared to, orchestrated by the unrivaled Steve Earle.

Lime Rock Park Rolex Vintage Festival

Organized by Steve Earl, the fellow responsible for the Monterey Historic Races, this event is a true gem. The festival is one of the largest vintage automobile celebrations in the East, showcasing a diverse field of more than 200 race cars.

Pittsburgh Vintage

The philosophy of the PVGP is to produce a quality event for both the participants and the viewing public in order to raise vitally important funding for our two very deserving charities, Allegheny Valley School and The Autism Society of Pittsburgh.
